Chapter 1. There's A Fred In My Head!

One rainy day, i was on my bed, watching shadows fly, when i began to think of bread and i do not know why. Then suddenly, creative mode switched on inside my head, i made a man, a simple man, and for that i called him Fred.

He looked at me, i looked at him, we both blinked once or twice, and then i opened my head and pulled out a grain of rice.

"Eat this," i said, there on my bed, "For it will give you life, for if it doesn't, then I'm afraid, you'll have to go under The Knife."

He ate the rice, and suddenly, he began to glow, i wondered what his purpose was, and that i still don't know.

I picked him up and threw him quick out of my bedroom door, i decided to get dressed and go and this is what i saw: There was Fred, all dressed up, from head to toe in blue. He turned around and looked at me and said

"I've done a poo."

So off i went to get the bin from under the kitchen sink, when i returned, Fred was burned, and he had turned quite pink. I sighed and cleaned him up, then took him to The Knife. But despite my scientists' best tries, Fred would not give up life. I flicked my hand to destroy him, but stopped myself just in time.

I realised that all this time i had been talking rhyme.

"THAT'S IT???" I cried. "Is making rhymes all that you can do?"

He turned to me, that's when he said it.

"I think I've done a poo."

And at that moment, before my eyes, Fred began to change, into a being made of liquid, whose appearance was rather strange.

And suddenly, it dawned on me, just what this "Fred" could do. I said to him: "You're a shape shifter!" He said:

"I've done a poo."

I watched, impressed, with expectant thoughts, as Fred became some stones, and then he shifted back to normal, but this time with headphones.

I stared at Fred, and he stared back, i drank tea from my cup.

He looked at me, then cocked his head, then gave me the thumbs up.

Yes, his thumb has a face.
